Is Nocte Immortalem a roleplay free company?  

No, we are not! Nocte Immortalem is an RP group that is open to everyone without the chains of being tied to a specific FC. All of our development and announcements will take place on the Discord and any events hosted in-game will be open to the public. We play on the Crystal data center but if you don't play there, you are welcome to use DC travel to come join in!
 

 

  Does my character have to be occult themed to join the community?  

Absolutely not. The intention of Nocte Immortalem and its story is to bring together characters of occult races and normal mortals together in a peaceful existence. So non-occult characters are just as important to us and to the story progression of NI's world.

 

  What if my character is against Nocte Immortalem / hates Occult Races?  

What fun is a story without some backlash about it IC? There will be storylines and events that will center around troubles tossed toward the covens and NI overall. So don’t worry, you’ll still get a piece of the action even if you are a villain/against NI!

 

  What does the name Nocte Immortalem mean?  

It is Latin for "Immortal Night", a name that we found most suitable and perfect for the themes of our community. Here the night is immortal. Some of our names are themed around Latin origin, though others draw inspiration from the FFXIV world and lore such as the covens themselves being named in reference to Astral (star) and Umbral (shadow).

 

  How genuine is Nocte Immortalem to the FFXIV lore and world?  

Some liberties and artistic freedom are taken when it comes to writing the world and stories of Nocte Immortalem. However, we do try our best to be respectful and true to the FFXIV lore and world that we can be. But a little lore bending is expected to make our world work.
